Whole Body Thermography is a gentle, painless, non-invasive testing method that is an adjunct diagnostic device for breast health, prostate health, thyroid abnormalities, musculoskeletal disorders and many more chronic conditions. Whole Body Thermography can identify underlying causes of many chronic illnesses long before symptoms appear.

What is Whole Body Thermometry / Thermography?

Whole Body Thermography is a full body screening that, unlike regular Thermography, is not based on an anatomical view of the body. Rather, Thermography evaluates how the whole body and especially its organs and glands are regulating. This is done by measuring temperature changes before and after a cooling stress is applied to the body. We are able to assess dental issues, endocrine function, brain function, digestive issues, reproductive health, sinus issues, and much more.

How does it work?

An infrared sensor is used to take temperatures on over 100 points on your body in a temperature-controlled environment while you are dressed. Once this is done, you disrobe down to your underwear and stand in a cool room (68-70 degrees) for 10 minutes. Certain patterns in your body’s response to the cooling can indicate a number of underlying health issues which you may wish to investigate further.multigen1

Who Can Take The Test?

Whole Body Thermography is for women, men and children (over the age of 6 years).

Why It is Different From Other Tests

Many diagnostic tests require the patient to be exposed to radiation or trauma, as in the case of mammography. Because we are not “imaging” an anatomical view of the body, we are able to use infrared sensors which cause no harm to the body in order to paint a physiological picture of the body and how it is functioning. This whole body screening is non-invasive, safe, and convenient when compared with other types of screenings.

Thermography has been used for more than 20 years in Europe but has recently been automated in order to improve accuracy and interpretation. Dr. Daniel Beilin brought this technology to the US and developed the system used at K6 Wellness Center.

We are located at: 12820 Hillcrest Rd. C122, Dallas, TX, 75230.
Go in the doors that say 12820-12830 East Entrance. Turn right down the hallway and we are the second door on the left.

In order to have a successful test, it is imperative that you follow the Patient Test Preparations completely. Failure to do so prohibits us from performing the Thermography testing. There will be a $50 rescheduling fee.

Test Preparations

  • Come to the appointment wearing comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that can be easily removed. Wear a long-sleeved button-up or zip-up shirt and long pants, even if the weather is hot or humid. Avoid synthetic fibers and tight clothing. Do not wear a bra. Wear underwear because you will have to remove all other clothing for the second portion of the test.

  • Do not shower or bathe the morning of the test. However, a quick shower using only tepid water is allowable, as is a shower the night before. (You may brush your teeth)

  • Do not use body sprays, skin creams or lotions, or cosmetics the morning of the test.  (deodorant is fine)

  • Do not drink coffee, black tea, or caffeinated beverages, and do not smoke the morning of the test.  A light breakfast is acceptable, but nothing piping hot.

  • Come to the appointment hydrated; drink 12-16 oz of water 1/2-2 hours before the test.

  • Do not exercise the morning of the test.  This includes running, yoga, Pilates, etc.

  • Refrain from ‘regulative’ and therapeutic practices within 36 hours prior to the test.  This includes acupuncture, bio-energetic treatments, therapeutic massage, classical homeopathy, chiropractic treatments, etc.

  • Refrain from dentistry and dental cleaning at least 3 days prior to the test.

  • Women cannot be tested during the first or second day of the menstrual period.  The lower abdominal points warm up and create false readings.

  • Arrive 15-20 minutes before your appointment so that you body has a chance to relax before you are tested.

  • Remove your glasses when you get to the office, as there are sinus points on the nose that will be tested.
