Headaches do not all fit into one category demanding one specific treatment. There are different triggers, different pathologies, and different recommendations for the various types of headache. There are various types of headaches—migraines, cluster headaches, sinus headaches, and tension headaches to name some. Headaches can last from 5 minutes to several days with varying symptoms and degrees of intensity.
Migraines – Migraines are usually classified as either “common” or “classic.” Classic migraines involve a sudden sensitivity to light and smell. Nausea, diarrhea, fever, chills, and vomiting often accompany this type of headache. They may last for several days. Common migraines do not involve a sensitivity to light, but do carry the other symptoms. Both types of migraine respond extremely well to allergy desensitization. While some migraine sufferers can pinpoint specific triggers (usually foods), others may not be aware that certain chemicals, minerals, or foods cause their migraine. BioSET® addresses the type of treatment needed by first identifying what the individual is sensitive to and subsequently eliminating the sensitivity through the use of acupressure, detoxification, and enzyme therapy.
Cluster headaches are comprised of two or more painful headaches that come on suddenly within a 24-hour period. These are usually most painful over the eyes or forehead. This type of affects men more than it does women. These headaches also respond well to allergy desensitization.
Sinus headaches are defined by pressure, congestion, and inflammation of the nasal sinus cavities. They can last for hours or days. Sinus headaches are directly related to allergies and are therefore, brought on by the ingestion or presence of irritating substances. Most of the general population suffers from sinus problems in varying degrees. Like migraines and cluster headaches, sinus headaches can be eliminated once the body is desensitized to the offending substance(s). Both TKM and BioSET® are very successful in eliminating sinus headaches.
Tension headaches are characterized by muscle contractions of the scalp and back of the head. This is usually the result of stress and / or fatigue. One may feel as though their head is being squeezed in a vice. Tension headache sufferers, though overly tired, have difficulty sleeping. Tension headaches are best treated through the use of massage, deep breathing, acupressure, acupuncture, and relaxation exercises.
