Spiced Almonds
Are you looking for an easy snack that’s healthy and delicious? These Spicy Almonds are sure to be hit the spot. The only problem will be trying not to eat the entire batch!
Ingredients:
1 egg white
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp chili powder
1 3/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1/4 tsp allspice
1/2 tsp ground cumin
1/4 cup xylitol
2 1/2 cups almonds
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
2. Beat egg white until soft and foamy.
3. Add remaining ingredients, excepts almonds. Whisk until spices are thoroughly mixed.
4. Add almonds and stir until well coated.
5. Pour almonds on an ungreased baking sheet.
6. Bake for 15 minutes.
7. Remove from oven and stir and toss almonds.
8. Reduce oven to 250 degrees. Return almonds to oven and bake for another 10 minutes.
9. Remove from oven and cool completely. They will harden once cooled.
