Gluten-Free, Sugar-Free Apple Crisp

With apples in season, what better time to make a delicious apple crisp? If you don’t have any apples, you will want to run to the store right now so you can make this apple crisp today!  Your family will love you forever!

5 apples (I used 3 Granny Smith and 2 Gala)
1/4 cup raw honey
2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg

For the topping:

1 1/2 cup almond flour
3 TBSP xylitol
1/2 cup chopped nuts (I used walnuts)
5 TBSP cold butter, cut up



Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Peel, core, and cut the apples into large wedges. Combine the apples with spices and honey. Make sure the apples are well coated. Pour into 8×8 or 9×9 dish.

To make the topping, combine the flour, xylitol, and chopped nuts. Add the butter until mixture is crumbly and butter is the size of peas. Scatter evenly over the apples. Sprinkle with additional chopped nuts and xylitol, if desired.

Bake for 45 minutes or until the top is brown and the apples are bubbly. Serve warm with coconut milk.
